CRANBURY, NJ. AmSpec announced today the commencement of operations in Thailand, a key component of the company’s expansion strategy into Asia Pacific as the leading provider of inspection and testing services to the petroleum industry.

AmSpec Thailand will operate from four sites to ensure complete coverage of all import and export operations in the region and will be headquartered in Bangkok with a state of the art laboratory located in Map Ta Phut and satellite offices in Sirarcha and Hat Yai.

“We see our expansion into Thailand as a vital piece of our strategy in supporting our oil & gas clients in Asia Pacific.  This exciting development is in addition to our existing network in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. We intend to commission our laboratory in September and rapidly develop a full suite of testing capabilities to support our clients in Thailand with the first class service they have come to expect from the AmSpec brand,” commented Matt Corr, AmSpec Chief Executive Officer.

“Over 75 highly qualified field and lab staff will support our operations in Thailand, ensuring all our clients requirements are met,” added Mr. Corr. “The services provided by Amspec Thailand will include the supervision of load and discharge inspections, pipeline and tank transfer, vessel lightering and ship to ship operations, bunker and on/off hire surveys, sampling, inventory and reconciliation, additization and doping services, loss control/cargo superintendence / training and technical support.”
