Responsibilities

VP, Operations – AmSpec LLC, Signal Hill, CA.

Overseeing daily operations of the Company and the work of branch and area managers in the designated area of North America to ensure meeting or exceeding goals; Collaborating with local and area managers on plans for corporate growth and evolution; Managing operational managers and training them in the latest leadership and technical skills to allow them to better serve customers and meet revenue and EBITDA budgets; Recommending hiring, dismissal and evaluating employee performance; Implementing, maintaining and enforcing operating plans for quality management, safety and health, environmental compliance, legal and ethical compliance trainings; Ensuring that area under the incumbent’s management forms a fair and reasonable profit for the Company; Assisting with identifying new business growth opportunities and presenting plans to acquire and implement once approved; Assisting with investigating and resolving customer concerns and claims of non-conformance; and Ensuring all program initiatives align with the Company’s core values and culture.

 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or MBA plus five (5) years of progressive relevant experience in the job offered or related occupation.  Experience must also include three (3) years of experience evaluating internal processes to determine effectiveness and efficiency in all operational activities (Lab – Operations – Coordination & Quality Assurance), being responsible for determining problem areas while recommending solutions to drive optimized P&L performance across multiple locations; one (1) year of experience leading the business and financial activities for a region, including Marketing, Finance, Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and Business Development, including developing and managing the regional budget of at least $40 million; and one (1) year of experience overseeing performance management for at least 200 regional employees, including a developing a succession plan, which succession plan included Talent Mapping, Inspection and Laboratory functions. Required to travel 25% of time (primarily domestic).
